"There's no such thing as great friends"

Very very few people have managed to prove the above sentence wrong. I'm beginning to have doubts. What do you define friend? Friends don't desert one another when they are in need. Friends are forever... they don't just disappear after a month or two. They don't forget you even if they have become popular and have many friends surrounding them.

I miss my friends... or are they still considered friends considering that they didn't fulfill what I just said above.
