Friends are Friends Forever?
Friendship
Remains
And
Never
Can
End
Remember your primary 6 years? When those words above were written all over your autograph book by your friends then. In fact some of you might even be guilty of writing those very words.
What's the use?
Where did it bring you?
How many of you actually kept to that? I can tell that not everyone remains as close friends with their friends in primary school. Primary school seems a distant memory to me and I am only 18. What would your primary school days seem like if you are in your twenties or thirties. Can you even remember that little girl who sits in the corner of class keeping to herself all the time. Would you remember the boy who would smile at you daily in the canteen?
Is friendship really forever? I don't even keep in touch with my friends in secondary school. All the memories are just that... memories and nothing more.
What about the friends I have now. Will they still be friends in years to come? Or will they too drift away. Maybe that's life. Friends are not here to stay. They're just here to guide you through the different phases of your life. Once that particular phase is done, they're gone too.
I don't want to lose the friends I have now. I enjoy their company and so do they.
People say you make real loyal friends in the army. Could it be because you go through thick and thin together? You'd do anything to save each others asses out there.
Well friends are friends.... only time will tell if my current friends will still be there for me in future. In sickness and in health.
